Personal Insights
In my department I am able to help with food insecurities, and how to teach about healthier food choices. I am also able to see daily how this program changes people health wise, to help families find other resources they may be eligible for. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing a premature baby grow from their low birth weight to the right percentile by one year of age. Everyday is a challenge when working in public health but to overcome challenges you need to learn and listen.

IMy future goal is to become a Certified Community Health Worker.

Personal Interests and Hobbies

Advice and Tips
Always listen to others, don't always offer an answer or opinion. Sometimes the person you are listening to just wants that and not opinion or an answer.

KPHA is great way to learn and network with others in public health.
