The Department of Health & Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences (CHS) at the University of Kentucky is currently accepting applications for a full-time 11-month lecturer (non-tenure eligible) faculty member to begin employment for Fall 2024 or Spring 2025. Primary duties for this position will include teaching in the Human Health Sciences and/or Clinical Leadership & Management undergraduate programs. The Human Health Sciences (HHS) & Clinical Leadership & Management (CLM) degrees are two of the three undergraduate degrees in the department. The HHS degree is a pre-professional program for students interested in healthcare careers. The HHS degree offers a liberal arts foundation designed to provide students with a comprehensive look at health care practices to complement a solid foundation in basic science. HHS graduates are prepared to pursue advanced professional degrees in healthcare, such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, optometry, athletic training, medical research, and more. Students are also being prepared for careers in patient navigation, leadership, and other graduate studies. Required Qualifications:
- Earned master’s degree in health sciences or related areas. Related fields include, but are not limited to, public health, health psychology, health communication, health administration, business, public policy, public administration, social work, medical sociology, or medical anthropology.
