#  Member Spotlight - July, 2024

**Introduction**
I currently serve as the KPHA Secretary as part of the KPHA Executive Committee.

**Professional Background**
I earned my Master's of Public Health in 2011 and immediately joined the team at Green River District Health Department where I served as the Epidemiologist for more than 9 years. I spent some time at Owensboro Health as an Infection Preventionist before coming back to Public Health as an Area Health Liaison for the Kentucky Department for Public Health. As an Area Health Liaison in Western Kentucky I serve as a resource and connector between LHDs and KDPH.

**Personal Insights**
I have learned that working in Public Health is truly a calling. The warmth and concern that public health has for people and their community is unmatched. "See a need, meet a need", that is what I love about working in Public Health.

**Personal Interests and Hobbies**
My personal interest include being outdoors and spending time with my husband and three children, Allie (11), Ava (9) & Hayse (6).
