INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST [Code: ISS]

The Administration division is accepting applications for an Information Systems Specialist (IS Specialist) to provide help desk and information systems support for hardware, firmware, software, and data. Applicants must be able spend 50% of their time physically setting up equipment and 50% of their time at a desk. The position will be based at our District Office currently located at 8001 Veterans Memorial Drive in Florence, KY. We could be waiting for YOU!

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
1. Provides Help Desk support. (Responds to inquiries from systems users. Troubleshoots information systems problems. Maintains documentation of support requests and resolutions. Trains new users on system usage.)
2. Assists with maintenance of district-wide computer network and voice technology system. (Under direction of Information Systems Analyst (IS Analyst): Unpacks and installs, configures, and maintains the Local Area Network (LAN) server and workstations. Unpacks and sets up and configures Multifunction Printer (MFP) devices. Sets up and configures personal technology devices for business use. Maintains and installs computer applications and upgrades. Maintains voice technology systems, including but not limited to switching systems, voice mail, facsimile, and cellular systems.
3. Completes special projects. (Serves as back up to Information Systems Analyst. Responds to public health emergencies as assigned. Completes other special projects.)
4. Performs other duties. (Attends work as scheduled or uses approved leave. Collaborates in and contributes to individual, team, and/or organizational quality improvement and evaluation activities. Serves on internal committees. Completes timecard. Completes travel reports. Completes required training. Completes other assigned reports.)

Qualifications:
A valid, active driver’s license, reliable transportation, and one of the following is required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or closely related field from an accredited university/college.
· The equivalent combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred: Same as above plus prior experience administering Google Workspace and Windows Environment.
